This year, Earth Hour will be observed around the world for the eleventh time. Its aim is for people to turn off the lights for one hour in order to draw attention to climate change on Earth and our direct impact on the environment. In Bulgaria, the initiative will take place on Saturday 24 March between 8:30 and 9:30 p.m. ProCredit Bank will participate in the WWF project for another year by turning off the advertising and facade lighting at all its locations throughout the weekend.
Earth Hour encourages people, municipalities, families and businesses to turn off lights and electrical appliances for at least an hour as a sign of their responsibility towards nature.
Launched in 2007 in Sydney, Australia, Earth Hour is the world’s largest environmental grassroots initiative, inspiring millions of people around the world to take action in this direction.
