ProCredit Bank supported the international “E-mobility and the Future of Urban Transportation Forum” event, organised by “Capital”. The annual conference was held in Sofia on 2 March 2018.
The E-mobility forum aims to become the leading platform in Central and Eastern Europe for the new mobility concept, to increase the awareness of companies, citizens and institutions about the benefits of eco-transport and to support the market development here and in the region. The event attracted more than 250 visitors and offered a challenging agenda with successful and influential participants and a networking atmosphere. During the conference, industry leaders, founders, investors and automotive professionals shared their experience and expertise.
Some of the topics discussed during the event were relevant to the future of urban mobility, the digital shift of transportation and technology innovations, and mobility services based on electrical/autonomous vehicles.
Borislav Kostadinov, member of the Management Board of ProCredit Holding, was invited as an expert in the second discussion panel “Infrastructure and Innovation”. He presented the ProCredit group policy to permanently limit its environmental footprint by reducing its negative impact on the environment, discussing the internal measures that the banks have taken in this direction, and the possibilities for financing green investment projects, in particular for buying electric vehicles.
“We are one of the first companies and definitely the first bank in Bulgaria to buy electric cars on such a large scale. Today, 35% of our fleet in Bulgaria is electric. By the end of the year, the electric vehicles will account for 50%. Our expectation at group level is to raise this figure to 100% in the near future,” said Mr Kostadinov.
At its stand, ProCredit Bank representatives spoke with business owners and private clients about the possibilities for financing the purchase of electric cars.
